Who We Are

Who We are and What We Do……..

We are a group of expat and Chinese individuals who have dedicated a part of our lives to rescuing and rehoming stray and abandoned animals off the streets of Shanghai.
Our group is named in honor and loving memory of 9 week old “Jaiya Kristina”, who passed away from SIDS on February 14, 2009.
At JAR we believe that every animal deserves a safe, secure and loving home.

JAR - Shanghai
“.. help us save the animals off the streets of Shanghai..”

Jaiya Kristina”.
在JAR流浪动物救助中心,我们相信每一个小动物都有权利拥有一个安全,温暖的家.

‘Adopt an animal from JAR for a “Pawsitive” new beginning and a happy ending!’

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE NOT A SHELTER.
WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL ADDRESS.
WE FOSTER THE DOGS & CATS IN OUR OWN HOMES.
WE RELY ON OUR FOSTER PARENTS AND ASK PEOPLE WHO RESCUES ANIMALS TO TEMPORARILY LOOK AFTER THE ANIMAL AND JAR WILL ASSIST BY FINDING A HOME FOR THEM OR NEW FOSTERPARENT.
JAR’S ANIMALS CAN ONLY BE ADOPTED OUT  AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN VACCINATED, DE-WORMED & DEFLEAD.
IN ALMOST ALL CASES, THE ANIMALS WILL HAVE BEEN SPAYED OR NEUTERED DEPENDING ON THEIR AGE.
OUR ONLY GOAL IS TO FIND THESE ANIMALS A LOVING FAMILY & PERMANENT HOMES.

God bless you and I wish I could be there to help you, but I am in the United States…I try to send monetary help to Animals Asia….I am following intently all of the rescues of dogs and cats because I believe most Chinese do not want them eaten…..God bless you in all of your work and know that many people around the world applaud you and await the day that animals have a protection law on the books in your country.

    Dear all,

Me and my wife expecting a 2nd child and she will deliver the baby in Feb back in Hong Kong. We have found a freind to take care of Lala (one of our two Schnazers) for a few months and need a foster home for Kiki. Hate to leave him at a kennel hence if there are someone whom could take him in for a few months it will be great. He is house trained with all shots and very friendly with people.
