Django for adoption – Urgent!

** Rescuer’s blurb **

Django was found sitting in the bicycle basket at the age of 8 weeks. He was picked up by pet lovers and got into good and carrying but temporary hands. Right now he is 5kg, and 3 month old. Brown eyes, dark nd light brown colour.  Doctor said he will be 10-15 killos max. He already had 2 shoots, and is a healthy puppy.

Loves to try everything around him with his teeth, just like any baby does. Knows commands – sit, down, off, go to your place (sometimes) Has a naughty but adorable personality, hates to stay in his crate, and sleeps best when in the same room with people. Will wake you up if he is alone in different room, but will wake up with you when together. Finally passed the mark – potty trained. Waits to go outside to go to toilet. Loves to run and very social with other dogs, especially bigger size. Understands No, but will try to find his way around it. Still biting but without pressure.

Name: Django
Gender: Male
DOB: March 2013
Health: Clean bill of health but vet advised vaccination to be made week commencing 5th Aug

Emergency: Lost our dog!

** We have responded and given her advise. Bilingual poster is going to be produced with a reward. More to follow **

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AROUND AS MORE EXPOSURE THE BETTER!

Hi JAR and SCAA and PAW ,

We have a difficult situation and as you guys are the dog experts in Shanghai, maybe you could help us taking things from a different angle.

Here is the story:

We were out of town Saturday night so we asked ou ayi to come and walk the dog.

Our ayi lost our dog Naida in the street last Saturday July 27th. Naida was not on leash for some reason that we still cannot explain.
Last time she was seen was on Wulumuqi South road near Jianguo Road around 7 pm last Saturday (July 27th).

Naida is registered at the Hengshan Lu police station. We went to the police station, but none of the cops are able to tell us what the procedure is. Apparently they have a kennel where they put the dogs they find but we can’t have access to that place and see the dogs.

We are desperate, it’s been 3 days already, and we know that Shanghai is a very harsh place for dogs. We have been searching for her every where in the neighborhood without success.

Would you have any idea? Something else we could try?

Description of Naida:
Kind: Shanghai street dog
Female
Color: Champagne-light brown
1 year old
Micro Chip number: 156000100245865 (so many numbers on the card i am not sure it is the good one)
9 Kg – 20 Pounds
45 cm

Please find attached photos of Naida.

WE ARE SEEKING PERMANENT LOVING HOMES FOR OUR KITTENS!

Some months ago we found their mother, Crookshanks at our door with an injured leg. We decided to adopt her, and later found out that she was pregnant. Thankfully the injury on her leg was minor and she recovered soon. The vet told us that this was her first pregnancy (as she was still very young). Crookshanks gave birth to 4 kittens on 8th May 2013. The kittens are playful, happy and are ready to enter their new home(s) soon. Many NGOs such as SCAA and JAR are full and so I really need to find a caring home for them.

Below are the details of the kittens:

The vet has paid a visit and they are all healthy, although the dark brown kitten is a little weaker compared to her siblings. She was very weak at birth and the vet said she might not survive, fortunately, she is now healthy and the bravest of them all! I will get them vacinated before their adoption, but they can’t be spayed/neutered until they are at least 6 months old.

You may choose to adopt any one, or all of the kittens. They get along well with their siblings so it would be great if you could adopt 2 of them (if you don’t already have a cat), but single-cat adoptions are welcome as well!

Thank you very much for your time!

Please PM me or call me ASAP at 13816343574, if you would be able to provide them a loving home, have any questions or know someone who might be able to help.

Kind Regards,
Ash:)

Miaow for adoption

Miaow is around three years old. She is stubborn and independent but can be quite loving and playful. At first she was suspicious of people and was a ‘scaredy cat’ but over time she has grown to be quite friendly with strangers, although she still takes a little time to warm up to a new location. Like I said she’s stubborn! She loves to play fetch and chase strings. Her favorite sleeping place is in bed, wrapped around someone’s legs, or in her cat tree.

She is quite a low maintenance cat, which is good with the hectic schedules of Shanghai, but she is still great to curl up with for a relaxing movie night, or an energetic play session in the morning. She responds well to people and is easy to train. She might be slow to warm to other cats but after a day or two will become quite friendly, we’ve never had any problems with her while we house-sat other cats.

I adopted Miaow three years ago in Guiyang in the south of China. She was quite small and sickly but has since grown into a healthy, plump cat with no problems. I moved her to Shanghai with me two years ago instead of trying to get her adopted in Guiyang. Unfortunately I will be travelling for business for a couple of months and don’t have anywhere to send her. I am sad to say goodbye to her but I know she will find a loving new home and become part of a new family.

Thank you,

Sean
